Woods ends drought with win at Bay Hill

TIGER WOODS ended the longest title drought of his illustrious career with a resounding five-shot victory in the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill.

It was his 72nd career title in the PGA Tour, one behind Jack Nicklaus for second on the career list, and 84th worldwide.

But this one came 923 days and 27 tournaments since his last win in the PGA Tour.

It was the first time Woods had won on the PGA Tour since the BMW Championship on Sept. 13, 2009. His last win against a full field was at the Australian Masters on Nov. 15, 2009.

Woods finished at 13-under 275 following a 2-under 70 in the final round. Graeme McDowell turned up a 2-over 74 in the final round to finish second at 8-under 280. Noli Cruz
