18 hurt as bus plunges to a ravine in Cebu
MANILA, Philippines – at least eighteen people were hurt when a passenger bus plunges to a ravine in a remote village in Cebu, late Wednesday night, police reports said Thursday.
Reports in Camp Crame said the accident occurred at around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday along Natalio Bacalso Ave., Brgy. Baclayan, Boljoon in Cebu.
The reports said a Ceres bus (GXS-668), driven by Danilo Iligan, was negotiating a curve line when the driver lost control of the steering wheel.
This led to the bus plunging down the ravine and before settling upside down, reports said.
The reports said, 18 passengers were injured and were immediately brought to the hospital for medical treatment.
The driver of the bus voluntarily surrendered to Boljoon Police Station for proper disposition while the said bus obtained undetermine amount of damages.
