Gunman of university prexy killed, 1 arrested
POLICE operatives kills one of the suspects and arrested another one for the killing of a university owner in Zamboanga City last Sunday, police reports said Thursday.
Reports reaching the PNP Camp Crame identified the slain suspect as Reymundo Limen, alias “Leleng”, the gunman, and the other suspect arrested by the police was identified as Hermes Sarimogan, the motorcycle driver.
The two were tagged as the motorcycle riding gunmen that shot and killed Arturo Eustaquio III, the owner and president of AE Colleges in Zamboanga City in an ambush last Sunday.
Reports said, Limen was killed and Sarimogan was arrested by the police intelligence operatives following a shoot-out on Wednesday afternoon at the MCCL Highway in Brgy. Guiwan, Zamboanga City.
The shootout took place after intelligence operatives from the Western Mindanao Police were able to track down the whereabouts of the two suspected gunmen in the killing of Estaquio.
Police intelligence operatives recovered from the shootout site a .45 caliber pistol loaded with three bullets and the motorcycle used by the suspects in the killing of the university owner, reports said.
