4 mangingisda, tatanggap ng ayuda sa DSWD

MAKAKATANGGAP ng tulong ang 4 na Filipinong mangingisda na biktima ng aksidenteng pagbangga ng pinaniwalaang Chinese vessel sa isang fishing boat sa Bolinao, Pangasinan.

Sinabi ni Presidential Spokesman Edwin Lacierda na inayos na ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) ang financial support  at iba pang tulong sa apat na  mangingisda.

Sa katunayan, aniya, ay pinagkalooban ng DWSD si Herman Balmores,  51 taong gulang na dumaranas ng pamamaga ng paa bunsod ng 5 araw at 4 na gabi sa pamamalagi sa karagatan.

Makakatanggap si Balmores ng 5,000 pesos financial assistance at family food packs. Si Herman Balmores, Jr.,  40  mula pa rin sa Barangay Concordia Bolinao, Pangasinan at Edimio Balmores, Jr.  mula Barangay Luna, Bolinao, Pangasinan. Si Balmores ay dumaranas ngayon ng skin blisters at nagtamo ng sugat sa katawan . Makakatanggap ito ng P5,000 financial assistance at family food packs.

Habang si Marcelino Damian, 32 mula  Barangay Concordia, Bolinao, Pangasinan na nauna nang na-confine sa Garbiela Silang General Hospital sa Vigan City ay inilipat sa rural health unit sa Bolinao, Pangasinan. Kasalukuyan na itong nagpapagaling  at may plano nang iuwi sa kanyang tahanan. Makakatanggap ito ng P5,000 financial assistance at family food packs.

Samantala,  binigyan naman ng 10,000 burial assistance at family food packs si Christopher Carbonel, mula Barangay Dewey, Bolinao, Pangasinan. Idineklara itong dead on arrival sa Gabriela Silang General Hospital sa Vigan City.  Ang financial support kay Carbonel ay tatanggapin ng kanyang two-month pregnant na asawa.

Tiniyak naman ni Mayor Alfonso Celeste na agad nilang aayusin ang libing ni Christopher Carbonel sa Municipal Cemetery sa Hunyo 27, 2012.

Sa kabilang dako, ang mga nawawala namang mangingisda na sina Dommy de los Santos, Amante Rasonable, Arnold Garcia at Fred Celino  ay bibigyan ng pamahalaan ng food packs at  P5,000 financial assistance.

“Based on the discussions with Mayor Celeste, livelihood assistance shall be provided to the affected families. The mayor also requested to look into the cases of other affected families of missing fishermen in the island barangay of Dewey. There will be—This is a joint project of the local government unit and DSWD. And the Municipal Social Welfare team will conduct the assessment and preparation for this assistance. It was also established that two of the fishermen are both ‘Pantawid Pamilya’ beneficiaries. Edimio Balmores with six children and Marcelino Damian with three children. It was… They do not depend solely on the cash grants that they received bi-monthly. They also have provided for themselves the basic needs for their children through fishing,” ani Lacierda.

Binigyan naman ng paunang psychosocial support ng DSWD staff ang mga naligtas na mangingisda at ang kanilang pamilya sa Office of the Mayor upang ibalik ang kanilang psychosocial functioning at mabawasan ang epekto ng kanilang traumatic experience.

“There will be a follow-up stress debriefing for them and we continue to provide assistance to these fishermen,” ani Lacierda.
