CIDG arrests 2 wanted fugitives in Pangasinan
CRIMINAL Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) operatives have arrested two fugitives wanted for heinous crimes in Mindanao while six more were rounded up in Pangasinan in an entrapment against suspects engaged in syndicated estafa.
CIDG chief, Police Director Samuel D. Pagdilao Jr., identified the two wanted as Joel Pabelonia of Brgy. Kalasuyan, Kidapawan City and Ariel Balili, of Purok 10, Madona, Brgy. Dona Carmen, Tagbina, Surigao Del Sur.
Pagdilao said Pabelonia was arrested around 8:00 am yesterday by joint operatives of CIDG and Community Investigative Support (CIS) volunteers in Kidapawan City have arrested Pabilonia by virtue of a warrant for murder. He is listed number 3 in the ten Most Wanted Persons of North Cotabato and number 8 in Kidapawan City.
Pagdilao also said that Bali was arrested 5:25 a.m. yesterday in Tagbina, Surigao Del Sur after seven years in hiding for a rape case.
In Pangasinan last Sunday, CIDG operatives have arrested Bobby Maniego, Dale Jay Tanedo, Vincent Sicangco, Eller Luimangan, Efren Santiago, and Dennis Cenizal, all of Tarlac City around 9:00 PM at the parking lot of SM City in Carmen Rosales.
The arrest of the suspects stemmed from the complaints of Melchor and Haidee Cabreros of Villasis, Pangasinan that they were victms of Maniego’s syndicate.
Investigation disclosed the group introduces various business opportunities including “Loterya ng Bayan” and Small Town Lottery to the victims and convinced them to invest in the said business for the amount of P800 thousand including the loan money of a fake transfer of land title.
CIDG investigators found out that the suspects were not authorized to deal in behalf of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) or the Land Registration Division of Tarlac City because they are not in any way connected with the said agencies.
