DOLE: 143 kumpanya lalahok sa job fair

INIULAT ng Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) na aabot sa mahigit 43,000 trabaho ang iaalok sa 2012 Kalayaan Job Fair, kasabay nang paggunita sa ika-114 Araw ng Kalayaan sa Hunyo 12, 2012.

“The Independence Day celebration, the country’s 114th, is a historical event. We commemorate on this day the sacrifices of our forebears and our heroes so we can enjoy our freedoms and liberty. On this day, the DOLE will be one with the whole nation in the celebration, but our main consideration is to free our workers from poverty through job facilitation, hence, this job fair,” pahayag ni Labor and Employment Secretary Rosalinda Baldoz.

Tinatayang nasa 143 kumpanya ang lalahok sa job fair na may temang “Kalayaan: Pananagutan ng Bayan para sa Tuwid na Daan” at isasagawa sa Rizal Park sa Ermita, Manila.

Nabatid na karamihan sa mga local job vacancies na iaalok ay: professional and technical-vocational workers, kasama na rito ang mga posisyon ng: accountants, account executives, architects, bakers, baristas, bookkeepers, brand specialists, call center agents, cashiers, copy writers, cooks, drivers, encoders, electricians, engineers, foremen, forklift operators, HR managers, HR staff, interior designers, massage therapists, mechanics, medical representatives, pharmacists, programmers, restaurant managers, riders, surveyors, systems administrators, waiters, web developers, IT staff, training managers, researchers, secretaries, tellers, utility workers, welders, at marami pang iba.

Sa mga trabaho naman sa ibayong dagat, kabilang sa iaalok ay para sa mga: nurses, physical therapists, lahat ng uri ng engineers, construction workers, welders, CAD draftsmen, safety and health officers, cooks, architects, painters, 3D animators, landscapers, quality control inspectors, dental, laboratory and X-ray technicians, hotel workers, at drivers.

Maging ang Philippine National Police (PNP), ay lalahok din sa job fair, kung saan magbubukas sila ng 3,000 openings para sa karagdagang tauhan.

Hinikayat naman ni Baldoz ang mga job applicants na ihanda ang mga kopya kanilang mga  employment documents, tulad ng  resumes o bio-data; transcript of records; diplomas; ID pictures; certificate of employment mula sa dating employers kung mayroon; NBI, police, barangay clearances,at identification cards.

Magbibigay naman ng pre-employment documentation para sa mga fresh graduates at bago pa lang magtatrabaho para sa  job application ang National Bureau of Investigation (NBI); Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR); PhilHealth; Philippine Postal Corporation (PhilPost).

Ang Professional Regulations Commission (PRC) ay magbibigay rin ng advisory services para sa mga professionals, habang ang ibang manggagawa ay pwedeng mag-avail ng libreng legal at medical services sa tulong ng  DOLE-Regional Coordinating Council sa National Capital Region (NCR).

Ang Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) naman ay magbibigay ng skills demonstration sa bar tending at libreng haircuts at massage.
