Enrile slams Nene Pimentel’s malicious accusations

SENATE President Juan Ponce Enrile debunked former Senator Aquilino Pimentel Jr., claim that money was the “only consideration” for the inclusion of former Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri in Untied Nationalist Alliance (UNA) senatorial ticket in 2013.

He said it is up to the decision of Senator Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III to join or not to join the Alliance in 2013 mid-term elections since he was a member of PDP-Laban allied to UNA, it is our agreement to include him in the line-up.

“We will not remove him in our list, we expect  him to join us, but it for Koko to join us, or to decide for himself, we will not remove him from the list, and we will not force him to leave, “ Enrile said.

The Senate chief explained that under the agreement between PDP-Laban of Vice President Jejomary Binay and Partido ng Masang Pilipino (PMP), which he is a member of the governing board, any member of both parties is automatically included in the senatorial ticket for 2013.

He also said that the senatorial ticket of UN A has more candidate than the other number required to filed in 2013 mid-term elections that includes Senators Loren Legarda, Francis “Chiz” Escudero, former Senator Ernesto Macede and his son, Cagayan Rep. Jacky Enrile.
