Spoelstra rules out Bosh return as series shifts to Boston
MIAMI Heat coach Erik Spoelstra ruled out a possible return of injured forward Chris Bosh for Games 3 and 4 of their Eastern Conference finals duel against the Boston Celtics.
But Bosh will travel with the team to Boston while continuing to rehabilitate the abdominal injury he suffered during Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinals against the Indiana Pacers.
Bosh, who undergone multiple rehab-oriented workouts but has yet to return to practice with the team, has missed Miami’s last seven games.
Last Sunday, Bosh went through his first light workout since suffering the injury.
Bosh has been listed as out “indefinitely” since suffering the injury. The Heat hold a 2-0 series lead over the Celtics heading into Game 3 on Friday night (Saturday morning in Manila) at TD Garden. Game 4 is set on Sunday (Monday morning in Manila).
Bosh averaged 18.0 points and 7.9 rebounds per game for the Heat this season. Noli Cruz
