5 police chief sinibak dahil sa jueteng

SINIBAK ni Interior and Local Government Secretary Jesse Robredo ang limang hepe ng pulisya sa Camarines Norte, Sorsogon at Pangasinan dahil sa pagwawalang-bahala sa operasyon ng jueteng sa kanilang lugar ng hurisdiksyon.

Kinilala ni Robredo ang mga chief of police (COPs) na sina Senior Inspector Timothy Arciso Jr. ng Sta. Elena, Camarines Norte; Superintendent Allan Ramos ng Daet City; Senior Inspector Dominick Poblete ng Mapandan, Pangasinan; at Chief Inspector Erwin Doma ng Castilla town at si Senior Inspector Joselito Gapan ng Juban town, na kapwa sa Sorsogon.

Mismong si Senior Superintendent Frank Penaflor Jr., senior police assistant sa Department of the Interior and Local Government, ang nagrekomenda ng pagsibak sa mga nabanggit na police officials kasunod ng ikinasang pagsalakay ng ahente ng DILG-Office of Internal Security (OIS) sa kani-kanilang nasasakupang lugar.

“We have given ample and stern warnings to all PNP provincial directors and chiefs of police in various provinces, towns and cities in the country that we would implement the one-strike policy on illegal gambling against them,” pahayag ni Robredo.

“These five cops apparently have been either remiss in their jobs or have defied our policy. The others who will defy that policy shall suffer the same fate. And we will not hesitate in ordering their relief,” dagdag pa nito.
