“It is high time that we revisit the economic provisions of the Constitution which, to my mind, restrict our economic progress and growth,” ani Belmonte.

“We cannot afford to lag far behind. Dramatic economic, political, and social upheavals all over
the world have altered and redefined territorial boundaries and diplomatic relations.”

“We must encourage greater competition not only to improve the efficiency of our local producers and manufacturers to provide Filipino consumers with wider and better choices in terms of goods and services, but also their competitiveness in the larger international market,” ayon pa kay Belmonte.
