PHL vs 50 bansa sa dragon boat tourney sa HK

KAKAMPANYA ang Pinoy paddlers sa prestihiyosong 2012 World Club Crew Dragon Boat Championships na idaraos ngayon sa Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade sa Hong Kong.

Kakatawanin ang Pilipinas ang pitong team kabilang na ang De La Salle University dragon boat team para sa Under-23 category ng torneong binasbasan ng International Dragon Boat Federation.

Sasagwan ang La Salle paddlers sa mixed 200-meter, 500-meter at 2,000-meter races.

Kakampay din ang Onslaught Racing Dragons, Cebu Dragons, Triton Dragon Boat Team, Rowers Club Philippines, One-Piece Dragon Sangres at Rogue Pilipinas Paddlers Club para sa Premier Open 200m, 500m at 2,000m sa men, women at mixed events.

Mapapasabak ang Pinoy paddlers dahil mahigit 50 bansa ang lumahok sa edisyong ito kabilang na ang malalakas na koponan mula sa Ausralia, Germany, Canada, Singapore, United States, South Africa, Switzerland, China at Russia.

Sasabak rin ang Macau, England, Iran, Germany, Czech Republic, Hungary, New Zealand, France, Trinidad and Tobago, United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, Ghana, Nigeria, South Korea at host Hong Kong.

“This will be a tough task for our paddlers but we’re optimistic of our chances. They’re all prepared and ready to make some waves in this competition,” pahayag ni Philippine Dragon Boat Federation director Judith Hakim na magsisilbi ring tournament official ng IDBF.

Pakay ng Pilipinas na malampasan ang dalawang tansong medalyang nakamit noong 2010 edition ng World Club Crew Championships na idinaos sa Macau.
