Valte na ,“We have been told by the officers of PhilHealth that all non-members in areas affected by the recent flooding who are also diagnosed with leptospirosis shall be automatically enrolled as PhilHealth’s sponsored program members and, of course, they will be accorded the benefits.”
“The premium payment shall be waived and membership validity period is from August 1, 2012 to July 31 of 2013. So that takes care of the problem of non-members of PhilHealth belonging to the lowest quintile na naapektuhan po ‘nung pagbaha kung sakaling magkaroon po man sila ng leptospirosis. Mako-cover automatically mae-enroll po sila sa PhilHealth.
“Nagbigay po ng extension ang PhilHealth. Extended po to 20 days ‘yung period for filing of PhilHealth benefits ng members and dependents covering the dates from June 8, 2012 to August 21, 2012 also. So 120 days na po ‘yung period for filing of benefits and claims for members and dependents.
“Doon sa accredited institutional healthcare providers whose claim documents may have been affected by the recent flooding, they are advised to contact the local health insurance office of PhilHealth for the necessary assistance,” ang pahayag ng opisyal.
And, for all other PhilHealth members, ‘yung deadline of the payment of your premiums has been extended to August 17, 2012. This is for the formal or the employed sector members of PhilHealth also,” ang paliwanag ni Usec. Valte.
Samantala, nagbigay na ang Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) ng P41.66-milyong halaga ng relief assistance sa NCR, Region I, Region III, Region IV-A, IV-B, at Region VI.
