Youth group converts placards into relief mats

IN THESE days of disaster relief, youth activists of Kabataan Partylist are converting their old placards into sleeping mats for delivery to flood-affected communities in San Mateo, Valenzuela and Quezon City.

This is in support of the Tulong Kabataan disaster relief effort, which is now mobilizing hundreds of students and youth in different schools and communities to respond to the call to volunteer.

Aside from the mats, Tulong Kabataan is also distributing clothing, canned and cooked food, bottled water, among others.

Their latest team-up is with the Ateneo de Manila High School in which they delivered 700 food packs to Valenzuela, courtesy of the Ateneo students.

“At this hour of great need, all efforts will now be undertaken to respond to underserved areas,” Terry Ridon, Kabataan Partylist national president said.
