DILG, NAPOLCOM honors PNP model families
IN line with the observance of the National Crime Prevention Week, the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) and Philippine National Police (PNP) presented the 2012 Model PNP Families at the Multi-Purpose Center, Camp Crame, Quezon City on Monday afternoon.
In awards ceremony led by the Guest of Honor and Speaker, Executive Secretary Paquito N. Ochoa Jr., the awardees for 2012 received their respective awards from NAPOLCOM VCEO Eduardo U. Escueta and Commissioner Luisito T. Palmera; and PNP Chief Director General Nicanor A, Bartolome.
The 2012 PNP Model Families was divided into two (2) categories recognizing not only those PNP personnel with complete members of the family but also the single police parents who untiringly support their family living with strong family bond, righteousness and social responsiveness.
Most Outstanding – SPO4 Diogenes P. Hare of Sto. Niño, South Cotabato (Region 12) First Runner-up – SPO4 Igmedio L. Dugueña of San Fernando City, La Union (Region 1) Second Runner-up – PINSP Rogelio M. Ruiz of Cebu City (Region 7) Third Runner-up – PSUPT Orlando S. Gardiola Jr. of Borongan City, Eastern Samar (Region 8) Fourth Runner-up – PSUPT Jesus S. Reyes of Malolos, Bulacan (Region 3)Solo Police Category:
Most Outstanding – SPO4 Janet M. Elias of La Trinidad, Benguet (CAR) First Runner-up – PINSP Elsa G. Montenegro of Surigao City (CARAGA) Second Runner-up – SPO1 Ana DR. Baganes of Iloilo City (Region 6) Third Runner-up – SPO2 Solita M. Canites of Quinapondan, Eastern Samar (Region 8)
The criteria on both categories are focused on assessing the type of relationship established by the parent(s) with their children and the like, and relationship of each family member with other members of the community which exemplifies ideal Filipino police family behaviour and involvement of the family members in community affairs which promotes socio-civic, spiritual, moral and community welfare and social development.
