“The President has informed us that he was approached by Senator Trillanes. So I have not had the opportunity to speak to Executive Secretary Ochoa yesterday because he was in the House defending the budget of the DILG. But, as far as the recollection of the President is concerned, and what he told us categorically was he recalled that he was approached by Senator Trillanes,” ayon kay Lacierda.
PNoy ayaw sumawsaw
PINILI ni Pangulong Aquino na huwag sumawsaw sa isyu ng Scarborough Shoal dahil kailangan muna nitong kausapin kapwa sina Senador Trillanes at DFA Sec. Alberto del Rosario.
“The reason why the President is silent is because, he would like to speak to both Secretary (Albert) del Rosario and Senator Trillanes. I think that’s the most decent thing to do na kausapin muna ‘yung mga taong concerned bago siya magsasalita sa media. And I think that’s a modicum of decency on our part.
“He (President) spoke to Secretary Del Rosario and asked him to refrain from making further statements. He texted Senator Trillanes and he also asked him to refrain from making further statements. That’s where it is right now,” sabi ni Lacierda.
“Regret? We have not spoken of (or) discussed anything whether there’s regret. With the President, we were discussing basically how did it come about. Any issue or questions on regrets, none. We never discussed regrets,” sabi ni Lacierda.
