Casiño to run, literally
PARTY-LIST Rep. Teddy Casiño (Bayan Muna) will literally run on October 3, from the Tamaraw statue in Luneta to the Commission on Election (COMELEC) office in Intramuros to file his senatorial bid. Running alongside him will be hundreds of his supporters from all walks of life.
“Mahilig naman talaga akong tumakbo dati pa at I make it a point to participate in running events once in a while.
Though running with lots of supporters Casiño is running solo under the Makabayang Koalisyon ng Mamamayan (Makabayan), which is composed of several party list groups and progressive politicians.
This was decided by the Makabayan leadership last month so that Casiño would not be tied down by the political complications and baggages that a coalition of traditional parties usually entails.
