DOH: Botika ng Brgy pararamihin sa NCR

PLANO ng Department of Health (DOH) na makapagtayo pa ng mas maraming outlet ng Botika ng Barangay (BnB) sa Metro Manila.

Kaugnay nito, hinimok ni DOH Center for Health Development – National Capital Region (CHD-NCR) Director Eduardo Janairo ang mga pribadong sektor na mag-invest sa BnB program at lumahok sa lumalaking bilang ng mga operator ng BnB sa Metro Manila, na nagbibigay ng de kalidad at murang gamot.

Iniulat ni Janairo na hanggang ngayong Oktubre ay nakapagtayo na sila ng kabuuang 910 BnB outlets sa buong Metro Manila.

Gayunman, nais aniya ng DOH na makapagtayo pa ng mas maraming outlet ng BnBs sa NCR.

“We are encouraging more applicants to enlist in the BnB program especially in priority areas identified by the National Household Targeting System (NHTS) for Poverty Reduction and the Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) program of the government,” ayon kay Janairo.

“Because of its significance, both in the provision of low priced quality medicines and its contribution to improvement in market contestability, we will advocate for its continued establishment by introducing a sufficient financial and management support system to make them sustainable,” aniya pa.

Ayon naman kay Health Secretary Enrique T. Ona, ang BnB program ay ang pagtupad ng pangako ng pamahalaan na maghatid ng mura at de kalidad na gamot sa mga mamamayan.
