His clever wheeze is the stroke of a genius!
RE-ELECTIONIST Chiz Escudero shifted his gear and accelerated his way up to the Senate race with an impeccable speed by hugging the headlines at a perfect time (last day of the filing of certificate of candidacy) when he announced the official status of his relationship with Heart Evangelista thereby overshadowing the last minute gimmicky of other senatoriables.
Also, we are pretty sure that with Heart’s presence, the campaign funds of Senator Chiz will not go flat broke as he can save a lot of money in advertisements gaya nu’ng nangyari sa last day of filing of CoCs when he grabbed the banners of the national papers for free.
Unlike other politicians who will expectedly dole out huge amount of dough on adverts on TV and print, iba si Senator Chiz dahil meron siyang Heart Evangelista which can be translated into thriftiness or frugality in campaign expenditures.
Sabi nga ng mga Britons, his clever wheeze is certainly a stroke of a genius! Hahaha!
WHILE shooting the breeze on showbiz and politics, we can’t help but zero in on Isko Moreno and Lou Veloso’s plight in the vice mayoralty race in Manila.
A clash of showbiz personalities in politics is a no-no for Isko but fighting head on against the said character actor is inevitable. Wala na ring magawa si Isko dahil si Lou Veloso na nga ang pinili ni Mayor Alfredo Lim para ipangtapat sa kanya sa darating na eleksyon.
According to some pundits, the move of tatay Lou is a political suicide because undoubtedly, he is going to be swept off by the incumbent Isko who is surely loved by the Manilenio for his unfading charismatic appeal.
Bukod ru’n, his unblemished history and achievements in the politics of Manila is widely known by the people, hence, paano siya matatalo ng isang vice mayoralty hopeful like tatay Lou?
According to some reports, some groups from the opposite camp is planning to mud sling his good reputation at hindi raw sila titigil hangga’t hindi nakukulong si VM Isko at ‘yon daw ang kanilang ipinangako kay tatay Lou kaya umaasa siyang makakaupo as VM of Manila pero malabo nga raw na mangyari ‘yon dahil wala silang ebidensiya.
Nakakaawa lang si tatay Lou because they brought him to the political dreamland.
GMA7 recording artist Zyrene Parsad is exceedingly proud of her husband Mr. Nico Valencia who, for countless of years, is painstakingly giving his all out best in providing funds for education to his kababayan in Oriental Mindoro and alleviate their standard of living through his K4 program (Kabuhayan, Kaunlaran, Kalikasan at Kinabukasan) which was started years ago.
Nico is the son of the incumbent Congressman of Mindoro, Rodolfo Valencia. He is also his father’s chief of staff and his diligence in working for the people in his province is, without a doubt, unmatched as he is ac- tually a backdoor worker but the products and the end results of his efforts are widely extensive.
He is currently walking on a sunshine, so to speak, because he already gave in to the clamour of his kababa- yans and filed his COC to run as a congressman in Oriental Mindoro. He is very excited and energetic because he can now openly work for his projects where the whole ball of wax about public service is on his chest.
This year alone, Nico Valencia is beaming with pride as he handed down almost P2M pesos for the college benefi -ciaries of his K4’s scholarship program in a simple ceremony which was held in Filipiniana Hotel in Oriental Mindoro. This program favors hundreds of students who are evidently coming from poor families.
With Nico’s influence in serving the public, Zyrene Parsad who is now an anchorwoman in IBC 13 news department, is also dishing out her own share in helping their people in Mindoro.
Break a leg po in this coming election, sir Nics.
