Patutsada ni Enrile, dinedma ng Palasyo

PATAY-malisya lang ang Malakanyang sa naging pahayag at patutsada ni Senate President Juan Punce-Enrile na “leave us alone to do our job”.

“Well, as far as we are concerned, we will just continue to provide the support if they need it,”  ayon kay Deputy Presidential Spokesperson Abigail Valte.

“Tingin ko hindi naman po sila nag-aaway, klinaro po ‘yan ni Commissioner Henares,” ayon kay Valte Valte sabay sabing “you know, it’s between Commissioner Henares and Senator Recto, it’s just an honest disagreement on the issues at hand. And from what I understand sinabi rin ni Senator Recto kahapon that he will be open to amendments, to any other proposed amendments especially when they go into plenary.”

“He (Senator Recto) was saying that he is open to the amendments. So let’s see what happens in plenary. We have repeatedly said that we will continue to work with the legislators and that includes the senators and the senator-advocates for the sin tax measure to provide the data, studies and research that they may need as they discuss the measure in the plenary,” anito.

“The call should be for a reasonable discussion on the issues. We should speak to the reasons, and to the reasonable discussions that we have been having,” ani Valte.
