44 cops in Metro Manila gets sanctions from Espina
THE chief of the National Capital Regional Police Office (Ncrpo) has approved on Wednesday the serving of disciplinary measures against forty-four erring policemen in the metropolis.
The disciplinary measures, which Ncrpo chief, Director Leonardo Espina has approved, calls for the dismissal from the service of 19 policemen while five policemen were given demotion and 20 others slapped with 20-day suspension.
This now gives to a total of 58 policemen dismissed from the service since Espina took over the helm of the Ncrpo last September while 26 were suspended and another 15 policemen were given demotion.
“Any policemen that would be proven guilty of violating the law has no right to remain in service with their fellow good policemen in the Ncrpo… this is one directive we are pushing for better public service,” Espina said.
The 19 policemen whom Espina has approved to be dismissed from the police service are led by Chief Insp. Reynante Ibon, of the Southern Police District (SPD) who is facing murder and attempted murder cases.
The other dismissed policemen were SPO1’s Froilan Pontivedra and Agustin Villanueva; PO3’s Ricardo Ailes, Pacholo Nang, Reynaldo Angeles and Gerardo Javier; PO2 Rolando Manipolo.
The other dismissed policemen were PO1’s Roberto Cruz, Vincent Paul Medina, Bernardo Meneses, Sieroma Prudente, Julius Enderio, Abdulaj Ontuwa and Eric Rza Nicodemus.
The five policemen meted with one rank demotion were Chief Inspector Eduardo Villanueva; SPO3 Jesus Acuna; SPO1 Danilo Esparza; PO3 Romel Apanat and PO2 Romualdo Dimala.
