Charges filed against suspects in killing of American diplomat
CHARGES have been filed against four persons, including two La Salle students, for the death of an American diplomat in a posh subdivision in Makati City Saturday dawn, officials said.
The four suspects were identified by the police earlier as Crispec de la Paz, 28 and Galicano Datu III, both are La Salle students and Juan Abastillas and Ospic Caburay.
The four were tagged behind the stabbing to death of George Anico, an American diplomat and resident of Bel-Air Village, Makati City.
Metro Manila Police chief, Director Leonardo Espina, said that the four suspects have been brought to Makati City Prosecutor’s office for inquest proceedings.
Police records showed that the stabbing incident took place on Saturday dawn at the Bel Air Rockwell gate following a traffic altercation between the victim and the suspects.
The four suspects reportedly ganged-up and stabbed the victim. The American diplomat died while being treated at the hospital where he was rushed by rescue workers.
