Former inmate killed in Bayugan City
A FORMER inmate and member of a crime gang was shot to death Tuesday evening by still unidentified gunman in a remote village in Bayugan City, police reports said Wednesday.
Reports in Camp Crame said that a certain “Tata”, a resident of Digos City, was shot by unknown gunman at around 7:30pm Tuesday at Purok-10A, Brgy. Poblacion, Bayugan City, Agusan del Sur.
The report said that investigation revealed that while the suspect was walking at the said place when he was suddenly shot by the suspect several times.
The victim was immediately brought by the responding police to New Bayugan Medical Hospital, Bayugan City but was pronounced dead on arrival by the attending physician, while the suspect fled towards unknown direction.
Further investigation revealed that the victim was allegedly a member of “Sipit-Sipit” gang, who was arrested and detained in Cebu City few years ago, reports said.
The reports aslo described the victim as having a batman tattoo on his buttock and other tattoos on his right and left leg.
Responding policemen recovered from the crime scene one empty shell believed to be of a caliber .40 pistols, while victim’s remains lies at the hospital morgue.
