Maguindanao mananatili sa State of Emergency

“There’s no call for them, local government leaders and Maguindanao Governor Esmael “Toto” Mangudadatu, to lift the state of emergency. And, I think, that is still the position taken by the local government officials there. So the state of emergency as of this briefing is still in place, and to ensure peace and order in the area of Maguindanao, especially in these coming elections. As you know, Secretary Mar Roxas has already identified Maguindanao as one of the 15 provinces in the priority election watchlist, and so that’s also being monitored,” anito.
