Police launches manhunt vs seven inmates who escaped from jail in Quezon

POLICE have launched manhunt operations on Friday against seven inmates that were able to bolt out from a detention facility in a remote village in Quezon province Thursday dawn, police reports said.

Reports at the PNP operations center in Camp Crame identified the seven escapees as Mark Anthony Maniego, 18; Arnold John Dioquino, 19: Leoven Agana; Melchor Flores; Santos Penascusas; Arwel Pumares and Merliti Acuno.

The reports said that the seven escapees are facing chargers ranging from theft, robbery and murder cases.

The seven inmates were able to escape at around 2:30am province by sawing off the steel bar of their detention cell at the Municipal Lock-Up Jail located at Brgy. Poblacion in Polilio town of said, reports said.

The jailbreak was discovered by a duty policeman, PO2 Randy Novelo who was conducting rounds of the detention facility and quickly informed personnel of a nearby police station.
