4 provinces, 26 towns under state of calamity
AT least four provinces and twenty-six towns have been declared under state of calamity due to the damage brought by Typhoon Pablo, government reports said Friday.
Latest reports from National Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (NDRRMC) said death toll from Typhoon Pablo rose to 418 with hundreds more missing.
Placed under state of calamity are the provinces of Misamis Oriental, Surigao del Sur, Davao Oriental and Campostela Valley, the NDRRMC reports said.
The reports added also placed under state of calamity were the towns of Magsaysay, Araceli and Roxas in Palawan; Kauswagan, Linamon, Matungao, Pantar, Pantao-Ragat in Lanao del Norte.
Under state of calamity are the towns of Gitagum, Kinoguitan, Lagonglong, Laguindingan, Libertad, Opol, Cagayan de Oro City in Misamis Oriental and Lopez Jaena and Plaridel in Misamis Occidental.
