Brothers nabbed for guns and ammo in Tarlac
CRIMINAL Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) operatives have arrested three brothers and seized a cache of high powered guns and ammunition during an operation in a remote village in Tarlac Wednesday morning.
CIDG chief, Director Samuel Pagdilao Jr., identified the three brothers arrested by their operatives for illegal possession of firearms and ammunition as Marlon, Edwardson and Palmero Carcha.
Pagdilao, quoting reports said that the three brothers were arrested by operatives of the CIDG Central Luzon police at their residence Wednesday morning in Brgy. Lanat, San Manuel, Tarlac.
CIDG Central Luzon regional officer, Senior Supt. Francisco Elmo Sarona said that their operatives raided the Carcha’s residence at around 6:30am Wednesday based on a search warrants issued by a trial court in Guimba, Nueva Ecija.
Recovered from the Carcha’s residence were a carbine rifle, two homemade shotguns, a caliber 38 revolver; assorted ammunitions, gun parts for 45 caliber pistol and a PNP ID, Sarona said.
Sarona said the raid on the Carcha’s stemmed from report that Marlon Carcha is reportedly involved in illegal drug activities in their area and that the brothers were keeping loose firearms.
The suspects were brought to Tarlac CIDG office while cases of illegal possession of firearms will be filed against them.
