Man killed and son wounded by their neighbor in Laguna
A man was killed and his son was injured after they were attacked by neighbor following a misunderstanding Wednesday afternoon in a remote village in Laguna, police reports said Thursday.
Reports at the PNP operations center in Camp Crame identified the victims as Edgardo Pecson, 62 and his son Joseph, both are resident of GSIS Village, San Pedro, Laguna.
While the suspect, who were arrested by responding policemen, was identified as Raul Cuaresma, the victim’s neighbor, the reports said.
The reports said the incident occured at around 3:20pm infront of the victim’s residence where the older Pecson were having a heated argument with the suspect.
The suspects reportedly stabbed elder Pecson prompting his son to rushed to his father’s side, but was also stabbed by the suspect, the reports said.
The reports said the two victims were rushed to the hospital, but the elder Pecson was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.
The suspect was arrested in a follow-up operation conducted by responding policemen, the reports said.
