Two cops facing dismissal for indiscriminate firing – Purisima
TWO policemen who were reportedly caught firing their guns in celebrating the New Year’s are facing possible dismissal from the police service, a ranking police official said on Thursday.
PNP chief, Director General Alan Purisima said that these two policemen were among the 18 that have arrested for indiscriminate firing from December 16, 2012 up to January 1, 2013.
“These two policemen are in danger of being dismissed from the service… They are finishing precharge evaluation and we are finishing the summary hearing,” Purisima said in a press briefing.
The PNP chief added. “We will follow-up this and maybe we will come out with a decision soon,”
The PNP chief said that one of the policemen were assigned in Western Visayas region and the other one was assigned at the Region 11.
