Woods cruises to victory at Torrey Pines

TIGER WOODS cruised to his 75th win in the PGA Tour by dominating the field in the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines, building an eight-shot lead with five holes to play before settling for a four-shot victory.

He closed with an even-par 72 for a 14-under 274 total as he won the tournament for the seventh time and stood seven wins behind Sam Snead for the record of most titles won in the Tour.

Woods won at Torrey Pines for the eighth time, including the 2008 U.S. Open.

”I’m excited the way I played all week,” Woods said. ”I hit the ball well – pretty much did everything well and built myself a nice little cushion. I had some mistakes at the end, but all my good play before that allowed me to afford those mistakes.” Noli Cruz
