Navotas Vice Mayor Clint Geronimo and Avot John had visited the public elementary schools in the city to teach Navoteño kids about discipline and obedience to the law.

Avot John taught Grade 2 pupils to respect and follow traffic regulations and other laws in the city, said VM Geronimo who has been Mayor John Rey Tiangco’s partner in implementing programs and projects especially those that directly benefit the residents.

“Our children are our future leaders. It is crucial that at an early age, they learn to respect the law and abide by it. It is also important that we inculcate good values in them,” VM Geronimo said.

Avot John holds a monthly visit to all public elementary schools in the city to teach young Navoteños about good manners and other relevant issues including good nutrition and disaster preparedness.

Several Navotas students especially Grade 3 pupils of public elementary schools learned how to love God, fellow beings, nature and the country during the Values Formation Seminar held by the Navotas Youth and Kids Ministry (YKM).

“We want young Navoteños to learn and develop good values and morals.

“We hope that through values formation, they will grow as responsible citizens and become agents of positive change in our society,” Mayor Tiangco said.

YKM has conducted seminars in three schools and is set to complete visiting all of the 21 public schools in Navotas in December this year. GOOD RIDDANCE/ARLIE CALALO
