“THE Liberal Party has resorted to an avalanche of black propaganda to circumvent the cases filed against them.”

This was the cry of Duterte Youth Chairman Ronald Cardema on the allegations hurdled by the LP against the administration.

“It’s obvious that the LP is employing destabilization efforts against the government to sway public attention from its cases,” said Cardema.

The LP has made Special Assistant to the President Bong Go a “scapegoat” on the P15.5 billion contact of the Philippine Navy warships, he said.

Former Cabinet officials of President Benigno Aquino III have also been linked to alleged irregularities in the government. Observers believe that it won’t be long when Aquino is also charged of alleged misconduct before the court.

One of these controversial issues involve the anti-dengue vaccine Dengvaxia which, according to Public Attorney’s Office Chief Persida Acosta, caused the deaths of some children.

Aquino, former health secretary Janette Garin, and former budget secretary Florencio Abad face criminal negligence, graft, technical malversation and for violating the procurement law in the purchase of Dengvaxia.

Aside from the Dengvaxia  vaccine, the Aquino administration was also slapped with cases on the alleged irregularity of the P3.8 billion deal in the purchase and maintenance of MRT; Mamasapano 44 massacre; alleged corruption case on the US$6 million “reward” for the killing of two suspected Malaysian terrorist Abdul Basit Usman and Zulkifli bin Hir alias Marwan; and alleged multi-million irregularity on the donation for victims of typhoon Yolanda.

Several Aquino men were allegedly involved in the pork barrel scam of Janet Napoles. Among those linked to the “pork” case were former President Aquino and other LP officials.

Cardema said that at present, critics have set their sights on Special Assistant to the President Bong Go who allegedly entered into an anomalous deal with the  Philippine Navy for the purchase of Combat Management System provider for the two new frigates or warships.

The issue on warship deal first appeared on the news website Rappler which is being ordered closed by corporate regulator Securities and Exchange Commission after it allegedly violated constitutional restrictions.

“It’s obvious that the opposition and Rappler are into this propaganda so that both of them could avoid these issues,” Cardema said.

The Rappler report alleged that Go gave a “white paper” to Defense Secretary Delfin Lornezana in January 2017 endorsing a South Korean company Hanwha Thales that will supply the Communication Management System for the two new frigates of the Philippine Navy which is under contract in Hyundai Heavy Industries.

President Duterte has pointed out that there are no irregularities in the deal, adding that Go will be retained to his government post.

Cardema said: “The critics should have common sense when they linked Go to the case considering that the contract has been formalized in 2016 during the term of former President Aquino.”

The opposition could not directly hit Duterte on the issue that’s why they are hitting officials who are close to the President, he added.

Cardema has called on the people to be vigilant against black propaganda being waged by the opposition.
