2 pulis sugatan sa ‘accidental firing’ sa police training camp; PNP nag-iimbestiga na

Manila, Philippines – Iniatas na ni Gen. Dionardo Carlos, hepe ng Philippine National Police (PNP) ang maigting na imbestigasyon sa ‘accidental firing’ sa loob ng police training school na ikinasugat ng dalawang indibidwal.

Sa inisyal na ulat galing sa Police Regional Training Center 1, kinilala ang instructor na si Police Corporal Benie Dupayat at trainee nitong si Patrolman John Conrad Villanueva na nasa gitna ng firearms familiarization session.

Dito ay nagsimulang magloko ang baril at aksidenteng pumutok.

Tinamaan si Dupayat sa kanyang kamay habang sa binti naman si Patrolman Villanueva na parehong ginagamot sa PNP Regional Hospital.

“If accidents like this can happen in training even under controlled conditions, it is likely to happen anytime during the course of normal police functions involving firearms and live ammunition,” dagdag ni Carlos.

“We will determine the veracity of the claim that this was purely accidental, at the same time, we remind our instructors to ensure safety at all times. Safety is paramount in weapons training and every instructor must not fall behind this primary consideration.” RNT/FGDC
