2 scholarship programs alok ng Pransya sa mga Pinoy

MANILA, Philippines – Maari nang magpadala ang mga Filipino ng kanilang aplikasyon para sa French government scholarship programs para sa academic year 2022-2023.

Kasalukuyan nang tumatanggap ang French Embassy at ang Campus France Philippines ng aplikasyon para sa PhilFrance Scholarship Program at PhilFrance-DOST Scholarship Program.

“PhilFrance Scholarship is awarded to highly-qualified candidates who have demonstrated strong academic and leadership qualities in their scholarly and professional activities, and who intend to pursue a Master’s degree taught at French higher education institutions (public or private) in all academic disciplines,” ayon sa Embassy of France to the Philippines.

Ang mga awardees ay pagkakalooban ng status of boursier du gouvernement français (French government scholar), at bibigyan ng benepisyo gaya ng “tuition subsidy, one round trip ticket from Manila to France, an exemption from visa application fees, a monthly living allowance covering the duration of their studies, a health care package, and priority access to public student accommodations.”

Sa kabilang dako, ang PhilFrance-DOST Scholarship Program ay naglalayong hikayatin ang mga Filipino professionals na nagta-trabaho sa academic, research, o government institutions na ituloy ang isang Master’s o Doctorate degree sa French public universities, at maging palakasin ang “scientific cooperation and exchanges” sa pagitan ng France at Pilipinas.

“It is jointly administered by the French Embassy and by the Department of Science and Technology’s Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI),” ayon sa Franch Embassy.

Prayoridad naman ng PhilFrance-DOST Scholarship Program ang iba’t ibang larangan ng pag-aaral gaya ng agriculture, bioengineering, bioinformatics (Medical), biological Sciences, climate change, forestry, health and medical research, material Sciences, medical chemistry, natural resources and environment, nuclear application on health, nuclear medicine, veterinary Sciences, at virology.

Ang mga awardees ng PhilFrance-DOST Scholarship ay pagkakalooban ng status of boursier du gouvernement français (French government scholar) at entitled sa mga sumusunod na benepisyo: “an exemption from public university registration fees, one round trip ticket from Manila to France, an exemption from visa application fees, a monthly living allowance covering the duration of their studies, a relocation allowance, coverage of pre-travel expenses, a health care package, and priority access to public student accommodations.”

Ayon sa French Embassy, ang mapipiling kandidato ng PhilFrance-DOST Scholarships ay marapat lamang na agad bumalik ng PIlipinas matapos na makumpleto ang kanilang graduate degree para magbigay ng tinatawag na return service o panahon na may katumbas na dalawang beses na haba ng panahon na ilalagi nila sa France parta sa kanilang degree.

“Details and guidelines on eligibility, benefits, requirements, the application calendar and the evaluation guidelines for both scholarship programs are available through the PhilFrance Scholarships website at www.philfrance-scholarships.com.”

“Applications shall be submitted through the PhilFrance Scholarships site no later than April 4, 2022, at 12 noon,” ayon sa Embassy of France to the Philippines.

Simula 2016, pinondohan na ng PhilFrance Scholarship Program ang pag-aaral ng 65 Filipino na masigasig na itinuloy ang kanilang graduate degrees sa French language at literature, business, public policy and international development, engineering, mathematics, marine biology, applied chemistry, environmental and ecological sciences, physics, computer science, at public health sa ilang “most prestigious higher education institutions” ng France, gaya ng Aix-Marseille Université, École des hautes études en santé publique (EHESP), École Polytechnique, Institut National des Sciences Appliquées (INSA) de Toulouse, Sciences Po, Université Paris-Saclay, at iba pa. Kris Jose
