3D monument ni Dr. Rizal pinasinayaan ng DOST

MANILA, Philippines- Pinasinayaan ng Department of Science and Technology (DOST) ang three-dimensional (3D) monument ni Dr. Jose Rizal nitong Huwebes sa Taguig City sa paggunita ng ika -125 anibersaryo ng kanyang kabayanihan.

Sinabi ng DOST na ito ang “first and largest 3D-printed monument” of Rizal- na may taas na 12.5 feet. Ang monumento na tinatawag na “Dr. Jose P. Rizal, The Filipino Scientist,” ay pinasinayaan sa DOST Science Complex sa Taguig City nitong Huwebes.

Sinabi  ng ahensya na ito ay “product of the state-of-the-art Advanced Manufacturing Center of the DOST-Metals Industry Research and Development Center (DOST-MIRDC) using Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylate (ASA), a material known for its high mechanical properties that can withstand impact and high temperature, UV, and has chemical resistant quality.”

“Dito sa bagong monument, ipapakita ang gilas at accomplishments ni Dr. Rizal bilang (This new monument represents the skills and accomplishments of Dr. Rizal as an) ophthalmologist, engineer, scientist, naturalist, and environmentalist,” ani DOST Undersecretary Dr. Rowena Guevarra sa isang public briefing.

“Maraming naging accomplishment si Dr. Rizal sa larangan ng Agham at nais ng DOST na maalala ito ng susunod na henerasyon,” patuloy niya.

Sinabi naman ni DOST Secretary Fortunato Dela Pena na ang pambansang bayani “did not do science for his own sake and recognition, he did it for the sake of others. He did Science for the people.” RNT/SA
