7 high-impact projects aprubado na ng NEDA board

MANILA, Philippines – Inaprubahan ng National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Board,  sa pangunguna ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., ang 7 high-impact projects sa isinagawang pangatlong pagpupulong nito.

Si Pangulong Marcos, ang tumatayong chairman ng NEDA Board.

Inanunsyo ni Socioeconomic planning Secretary Arsenio M. Balisacan, pinuno ng NEDA,  na ang mga proyektong ito ay maaaring makapag-ambag para makamit ng administrasyon ang social at economic transformation goal nito para sa medium-term.

Kabilang sa mga proyektong ito ay ang pagtatayo ng P6-billion, 300-bed capacity University of the Philippines (UP)-Philippine General Hospital (PGH) Cancer Center-Public Private Partnership (PPP) project na una nang inanunsyo ng Malakanyang, layon na gawing makabago ang  health infrastructure ng oncology services at cancer care ng bansa.

Ang iba pang  proyekto na inaprubahan ng NEDA Board ay ang itaas ang halaga ng  Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) rehabilitation project ng P7.6 billion, mula P21.9 billion ay magiging P29.6 billion; paggamit ng Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) loan balance na P2.12 billion para sa  bagong Communications, Navigation, Surveillance-Air Traffic Management (CNS-ATM) system; at ang konstrukson ng P17-billion New Dumaguete Airport Development Project sa Bacong, Negros Oriental.

Ang bagong Dumaguete airport project ng  Department of Transportation (DOTr) ay popondohan sa pamamagitan ng Official Development Assistance (ODA) mula  South Korean government sa pamamagitan ng Export Import Bank of Korea Economic Development Cooperation Fund.

Ang iba pang proyekto na inaprubahan o kinumpirma ng NEDA board ay ang “P6.6-billion Department of Agriculture’s Mindanao Inclusive Agriculture Development Project (MIDP), aimed at increasing agricultural productivity, resiliency and access to markets and services; and the Investment Coordination Committee approval of the Department of Public Works and Highways’ (DPWH) P20-billion first phase of the Integrated Flood Resilience and adaptation project in three major river basins in the country to be funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB).”

Sakop naman ng  MIDP  ang ilang ancestral domains sa Mindanao  mula Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Davao Region, Soccsksargen, Caraga and the Bangsamoro Administrative Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), nakita ng pamahalaan na  mahalaga  sa pagbabawas ng kahirapan, unemployment at food insecurity sa hanay ng  indigenous peoples.

Ang first phase ng  flood resilience project ng DPWH ay naglalayong i-improve ang  strategic flood risk management planning, i-develop ang  flood protection infrastructure sa tatlong  target major river basins: Abra sa Luzon, at Ranao at Tagum-Libuganon sa Mindanao, at maging ang palakasin ang  community-based flood risk management measures. Kris Jose
