“All 16 Agents (CPAs and Lawyers) come from NBI Academy’s Batch 51 ‘Novus Ilustrado’,” paglalahad ng NBI.

Ayon pa dito, ang mga bagong agents “will handle complaints filed by private citizens such as identity theft, online scam or fraud, hacking of bank accounts and personal accounts, phishing, cyber libel, forensic accounting and other violations that fall within the ambit of Cyber Crime Prevention Act of 2012.”

“NBI OIC-Director Eric B. Distor said that with the additional Agents, it is expected that complaints lodge before the NBI will be acted upon more expeditiously,” dagdag pa nito.

“With the on-going procurement of modern equipment and gadgets aligned with the modernization program of the NBI, the augmentation of Agents to combat cyber criminals has become a necessity,” pagbibigay-diin ng NBI. RNT/SA
