Bagong istilo ng vote buying sa QC, ibinunyag

Ilang araw bago ang eleksyon, inakusahan ni Quezon City mayoral candidate Mike Defensor at apat sa miyembro ng kanyang Malayang Quezon City ticket ang kampo ni incumbent Mayor Joy Belmonte ng vote buying.

“A new scheme of vote buying is being perpetrated in Quezon City. Buses are parked and driven around the city where the alleged pay-out is being conducted. The scheme is allegedly masterminded by the Belmonte-Sotto and Pumaren camp of the Serbisyong Bayan Party of QC,” pahayag ni Defensor sa isang statement.

Kasunod nito ay umapela ang kampo ni Defensor sa Commission on Elections (Comelec) at Quezon City Police District na tignan ang katoohanan ukol dito.

Sinabi ni Defensor na makikita sa kuha nilang video footages na may Victory Liner provincial bus ang kumukuha at nagbaba ng pasahero at sinasabing sa loob na nagkakaroon ng vote buying.

“One such bus could be seen in the area of Katipunan Avenue and H. Ventura street, where hundreds of people were queuing”ani Defensor.

Madali umanong matutukoy ang mga provincial buses na umiikot sa lungsod dahil nakuhaan nila ito ng mga plate numbers.

“The LTFRB should ask Victory Liner to explain what its buses and drivers were doing in streets that are not part of their routes,” giit pa niya.

Ang pahayag ni Defensor ay suportado naman ng kanyang katicket na sina vice mayoral running mate Winnie Castelo, eelectionist Reps Onyx Crisologo, Precious Hipolito Castelo at Alan Reyes. RNT
