Manila, Philippines – Wala nang hadlang sa pagpasa ng Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL) dahil nakatakdang lagdaan ito ni Pangulong Rodrigo Roa Duterte bago ang kanyang State of the Nation Address (SONA) sa Hulyo 23.
Hinarap na kasi ni Pangulong Duterte sa Malakanyang ang mga lider ng Kongreso para resolbahin ang hindi pagkakaunawaan sa ilang sensitibong bersyon ng BBL.
Nagkaroon ng “deadlock” o hindi pagkakasundo ng bicameral conference committee sa final version ng panukalang batas.
Ayon kay Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque, nakumbinse ng Chief Executive ang mga mambabatas na i-adopt ang bersyon ng Kamara kung saan ang anim na munisipalidad ng Lanao del Norte at 39 barangay ng North Cotabato ay maaaring makaboto sa gagawing referendum sa “mother territory” para mapabilang sa BBL territory.
“Pleased to announce that the President facilitated the passage of the BBL by convincing the two Houses of Congress to adopt the House version of the BBL providing that the 6 municipalities of Lanao Del Norte and the 39 batangays of North Cotabato could vote to join the BBL territory in a referendum to be conducted on the mother teritotory of the areas involved with the President’s intervention citing constitutional,” ani Sec. Roque.
Iginiit aniya ng Punong Ehekutibo sa mga lider ng Kongreso na constitutional ang nasabing probisyong nakapaloob sa House version.
“Provisions and the decision of the Supreme Court in the case of Umali, the passage of the BBL has been assured. President Duterte will sign the BBL law before the SONA.” (Kris Jose)
