Biyahe ni Marcos sa Australia “private trip” – envoy

MANILA, Philippines – Nilinaw ng Australian ambassador to the Philippines na isang personal visit at walang official arrangements ang naging biyahe sa Australia ni presumptive president Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. kasama ang kanyang pamilya.

Ayon kay Ambassador Steven Robinson, maliban sa visa requirements ay wala nang alam na iba pang detalye ang embahada hinggil sa biyahe nito.

“It was a private trip initiated by the presumptive president,” ani Robinson.

“Beyond getting visas in order to get to Australia, the presumptive president’s trip is no way official, no way formal, so good luck to him, everyone should visit Australia,” dagdag niya.

Noong nakaraang linggo, nagpaabot ng pagbati sa pagkapanalo ni Marcos sa presidential race si Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison.

“I congratulate Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on being elected President of the Philippines at the national elections on 9 May. Following the 75th anniversary of Australia-Philippines relations last year, we look forward to continuing to advance our long-standing friendship,” tweet ni Morrison.

Nilinaw naman ni Robinson na walang nakatakdang pagkikita sa pagkikita sa pagitan nina Marcos at Morrison.

“I don’t think there’s anything set up. This is a private trip, this is not coordinated by us,” aniya.

Kahapon nang kumpirmahin ng tagapagsalita ni Marcos na si Atty. Vic Rodriguez na nasa Australia ang pamilya Marcos para magpahinga at magbakasyon, isang linggo matapos ang eleksyon.

Bukas, araw ng Huwebes, nakatakdang bumalik sa Pilipinas ang presumptive president. RNT/ JCM
