Confidential fund ng OVP dinepensahan

MANILA, Philippines – Dinepensahan ng Office of the Vice-President (OVP) ang confidential expenses at good governance funds sa ilalim ng 2023 budget proposal.

Sinabi ni Office of the Vice President (OVP) spokesperson Reynold Munsayac na ang P2.2-billion good governance fund ay inilaan para sa public assistance, gaya ng basic social services, medical at burial assistance, “Libreng Sakay” project, at livelihood programs.

Habang ang P500-million “confidential expenses” ay gagamitin naman sa mga programang may kinalaman sa peace and order, at national security.

“The confidential fund was requested and will be utilized using the parameters set by the DBM (Department of Budget and Management) and the COA (Commission on Audit) in their joint circular,” ayon kay Munsayac.

“The position and mandate of the Vice President allows her to utilize those kinds of funds regarding peace and order and national security, especially [since] we have livelihood projects that will be implemented in conflict areas,” dagdag na pahayag nito.

At nang hingan ng komento sa usapin na mas mataas ang budget na hiningi ni Duterte kumpara sa budget ni dating Vice President Leni Robredo, sinabi ni Munsayac na may sariling “priority projects” ang bawat ahensiya ng pamahalaan.

“Bawat po head of agency, executive man yan o kung anong ahensya hawak niya, mayroon po silang priority projects at kami po, ang request namin na budget, iyan iyong sa tingin namin kailangan namin para i-implement namin iyong mga priority projects namin,” anito.

“Siguro iyong nakaraang administrasyon, mayroon silang certain projects at iyong budget nila ay sufficient na para doon,” ayon pa rin kay Munsayac.

Tiniyak ni Munsayac na magiging transparent ang OVP sa paghawak ng pondo. Kris Jose
