MANILA, Philippines- Handa ang Pilipinas sakaling alisin ng World Health Organization (WHO) ang state of Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC) para sa COVID-19, ayon sa health official nitong Martes.

“If and when the public health emergency will be lifted, we know that the virus is here to stay,” pahayag ni Department of Health (DOH) officer-in-charge Maria Rosario Vergeire sa media briefing.

“The Philippines will continue to be cautious and vigilant, and we will still be imposing these same restrictions we have right now, which is not so much strict, but nandiyan yung safeguard natin that any time the cases will increase, we have our safeguards that we can rely on and we can impose para mas protektado ang Pilipino,” giit niya

“Nung nag-umpisa po tayo mag-ramp up with our booster shots, marami na po sa local governments natin ay nag-decision… kung saan they integrated their COVID-19 vaccination with their primary care facilities,” pahayag niya.

“Currently, we have 3,697 primary care facilities, which are offering already COVID-19 vaccine and part of their regular schedules,” dagdag ni Vergeire.

Nauna nang sinabi ng health department earlier na magpapatuloy ang COVID-19 vaccination kahit na hindi palawigin ang state of calamity. RNT/SA
