Estafa inirekomenda ng House panel vs. Pharmally

Manila, Philippines – Inirekomenda ng House blue ribbon committee ang pagsasampa ng kasong estafa laban sa mga ehekutibo ng Pharmally Pharmaceutical Corp.

Kaugnay pa rin ito sa umano’y kwestyonableng pagbili ng medical supplies sa COVID pandemic noong 2020.

Sa virtual press briefing, sinabi ni DIWA party-list Representative Michael Aglipay, head ng panel na inirerekomenda ang kasong estafa laban kila Pharmally chairman Huang Tzu Yen, treasurer Mohit Dargani, president Twinkle Dargani, Pharmally director Lincoln Ong, at iba pang opisyal tulad nila Justine Garado at Krizle Grace Mago.

Giit ni Aglipay, napag-alaman ng panel na ang mga requirement na ipinatupad ng Government Procurement Policy Board (GPPB) sa suppliers sa ilalim ng emergency procurement ng Bayanihan Act One ay ‘extremely deficient in genuinely evaluating the capacity of a supplier.’

“One’s financial capacity cannot be proven by ITRs or ATRs alone, and an additional requirement such as Audited Financial Statements or credit history may be necessary,” dagdag pa ni Aglipay.

“Likewise, documents that can attest to a supplier’s capacity to provide the specifications of the goods required, like (a) list of previous projects, may be required.”

Irerekomenda rin aniya ang pagsasampa ng kasong falsification of public documents laban sa mga dating ehekutibo ng Department of Budget and Management-Procurement Service (PS-DBM) na sina Jorge Mendoza II at Mervin Ian Tanquintic. RNT/FGDC
