Ex-LTO employee, nag-fixer arestado

MANILA, Philippines – Kasunod nang pinaigting na kampanya ng Land Transportation Office (LTO) laban sa katiwalian, inaresto ang dati nilang empleyado na inaakusahang “fixer” sa Antique.

Ipinaaaresto ni Judge Gemma Bordon-Tady, ng San Jose Municipal Trial Court ang suspek na si Alfredo De Leon, na may mga alias bilang “Fred” De Leon o Alfredo Jose C. De Leon, dating kawani ng LTO Antique District Office.

Si De Leon ay nahaharap sa 12 bilang ng Falsification of Public Documents at 12 bilang ng paglabag sa Section 4(e) na may kaugnayan sa Sections 21 (h) at 22(b) ng Republic Act 11032 o ang “Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018.”

Aabot sa P1.296 milyon ang halaga ng piyansa ang hinihingi ng korte mula sa akusado.

“The filing of cases against this corrupt employee serves as an example that LTO offices around continue are doing everything to heed my call to stamp out corruption at their respective areas of jurisdiction. Crime really does not pay at the LTO,” pahayag ni LTO Chief Jose Arturo “Jay Art” Tugade.

Pinapurihan naman ng LTO Chief ang pagsisikap ng LTO Region 6 Office sa pamumuno nina Regional Director Eric Lenard Tabaldo at Assistant Regional Director Atty. Gaudioso Geduspan ll, gayundin ng mga kawani ng LTO Antique District Office, pati na ang Antique Provincial Prosecutor’s Office na nagpalabas ng mga warrant of arrest sa dating tauhan na nasasangkot umano sa katiwalian.
