Fake news, matinding kalaban pa rin – Leni

MANILA, Philippines – Naniniwala si dating bise presidente Leni Robredo na matindi pa rin ang hinaharap na laban ng bansa kontra fake news at disinformation.

Ito ang sinabi niya kasabay ng book launch ng author at dating Tourism undersecretary Vicente Romano III noong Huwebes, Setyembre 29.

“The fight does not end in the elections,” aniya.

“With the rise of fake news and disinformation, it is a big fight,” dagdag pa ni Robredo.

Ibinahagi rin niya na noong matanggap siya sa Harvard Kennedy School of Government sa Estados Unidos ay tinanong siya kung paano nilalabanan ng disinformation ang demokrasya ng isang bansa.

“Of all the fights we have to face with, dapat pagtulungan natin siya,” sagot naman niya.

“Almost all the invitations that I’m getting now, including the Harvard fellowship, they are interested on how disinformation is threatening democracies around the world, especially here in the Philippines,” dagdag ng dating bise presidente.

Dagdag ni Robredo, nais niyang maglabas ng isang coffee-table book tungkol sa kanyang 2022 presidential campaign at itutuloy ang pagpapatakbo ng non-government organization niya na Angat Buhay. RNT/JGC
