Fil-Am spiker Mau eligible na maglaro sa PH Team

MANILA, Philippines – Pinayagan nang maglaro si Fil-Am spikers Kalei Mau sa Philippine women’s volleyball team matapos tumanggap ng approval mula sa International Volleyball Federation (FIVB).

Inanunsyo ng Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) na ang Filipino-American spiker ay eligible nang lumahok sa national volleyball team ng Pilipinas matapos matanggap ang sulat mula sa FIVB.

Isiniwalat pa ni PNVF president Ramon “Tats” Suzara na pinayagan na ng Department of Foreign Affairs, sa pamamagitan ni officer-in-charge Senen Mangalilie, ang Philippine Embassy sa Brazil na mag-issue visa para kay coach Jorge Souza de Brito.

“These are a couple of good news for Philippine volleyball. With Coach Jorge flying in soon and Mau already available to play for the country, we can now go on full throttle for the women’s national team training,” ani Suzara.

Gagabayan ni Souza de Brito ang women’s national team program sa loob ng dalawang taon, ayon sa ulat.

Makatutulong ng Brazilian coach sina coach Odjie Mamon na kasalukuyang nangunguna sa ensayo ng batang manlalarong sina Eya Laure, Faith Nisperos, Ivy Lacsina, Jen Nierva, Mhicaela Belen, Alyssa Solomon, Kamille Cal, Imee Hernandez at Bernadette Pepito sa Ilocos Norte bubble.

Hindi pa pumapasok ng bubble ang national team members na sina Jaja Santiago, Majoy Baron, Aby Marano, Mylene Paat, Ria Meneses, Dell Palomata at Iris Tolenada dahil lalahok sila sa Premier Volleyball League Open Conference simula sa July 17 sa Centennial Gym sa Laoag City. JC
