Foreign direct investment bumaba – BSP

MANILA, Philippines – Bumaba ang net inflows mula sa foreign direct investment sa bansa sa $460-milyon nitong Hulyo na nagdagdag sa kabuuan halaga ngayong taon sa $1.5-bilyon ayon sa datos ng Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas ngayong Lunes, Oktubre 10.

“All major FDI components yielded lower net inflows in January-July 2022 as foreign investors remained cautious amid continued adverse global conditions,” pahayag ng BSP.

“In July 2022, FDI net inflows decreased due largely to the lower non-residents’ net investments in debt instruments of their local affiliates. This decrease more than offset the growth in their net investments in equity capital,” dagdag pa.

Ayon sa BSP, ang capital infusion sa buwang ito ay pawang mula sa Singapore, Japan at United States na namuhunan sa industriya ng konstruksiyon, manufacturing at real estate. RNT/JGC
