HARD-hitting lawyer Lorenzo ‘Larry’ Gadon has hailed the Sandiganbayan for not bowing on the ‘caprices and whims’ of former Ombudsman Conchita Morales when it dismissed the forfeiture case against late former Supreme Court Chief Justice Renato Corona and his wife.

Atty. Gadon, a personal friend of the Coronas, said that he knew from the start when Morales as Ombudsman during the time of former President Benigno ‘Noynoy’ Aquino III filed the case against the Corona family that it wouldn’t prosper.

“These cases were filed by former Ombudsman Conchita Morales even without an iota of evidence just to kowtow to the evil desire of Noynoy Aquino of persecu-ting the Corona family.”

“Being a personal and close friend of the Corona family, I am very happy that the Sandiganbayan did not bow on the whims and caprices of Morales who filed the case against the Coronas just to keep her post as Ombudsman at the time,” said Gadon, who ran for senator under the ticket of now President Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr. and Vice President Sara Duterte-Carpio but was unsuccessful last May 9 polls.

“To recall, Ombudsman Morales was never conten-ted of being a former court justice that she also filed a case against my client, former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, in order to keep her post and satisfy the evil desire of Noynoy Aquino to oust Corona then as Chief Justice,” said Gadon, the only senatorial candidate of the Kilusang Bagong Lipunan which was founded by Marcos Jr.’s father, former President Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr.
