MANILA, Philippines- Mahigit 4 milyong Pilipino ang nakaranas ng power interruptions dahil sa Tropical Storm Paeng (international name: Nalgae), pinakamataas na bilang ng power consumers na naapektuhan ng interruption para sa taong ito.

Inihayag ng Manila Electric Company (Meralco) na 4.058 milyong customers ang naapektuhan ng momentary at sustained power interruptions dahil kay Paeng.

Sa bilang na ito, 504,234 customers ang wal apa ring kuryente hanggang nitong alas-10 ng umaga, Linggo, na karamihan ay mula sa Laguna, Cavite, at bahagi ng Batangas, Metro Manila, Rizal, Bulacan, at Quezon.

“We ask for our customers’ patience and understanding since we could not give a definite time on when service will be restored,” apela ni Meralco Spokesperson Joe Zaldarriaga.

“Rest assured that our ground personnel and line crews are working round the clock to restore power the soonest possible time,” dagdag niya.

Batay sa pinakabagong datos mula sa National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP), ilang ransmission lines ang nananatiling unavailable hanggang nitong Linggo, ala-1 ng hapon.

Kabilang dito ang Cabanatuan-San Luis 69kV Line, Cabanatuan-Fatima 69kV Line, Gumaca-Lopez-Tagkawayan 69kV Line, Pitogo-Mulanay 69kV Line, Batangas-Bolbok-Bauan 69 kV Line, the Famy-Comon 69kV Line, at Calaca-Nasugbu 69kV Line.

Apektado rin ang San Juan-Calauan 230kV Line 1, Tayabas-Naga 230kV Line 2, at ang Tayabas-Pagbilao 230kV Line 1.

“Please note that this update pertains only to the status of the transmission network. Localized disturbances may be better addressed by your distribution utility,” ayon sa NGCP.
