MANILA, Philippines – Nakatakdang magbalik ang Philippine women’s football team sa aksyon sa AFC Women’s Asian Cup India 2022 qualifiers simula September 18 sa Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

Unang lalabanan ng Malditas ang Nepal sa September 18 sa JAR Stadium sa ganap naa 3 p.m. (6 p.m. Philippine Standard Time) sa Group F at sa September 24 kontra sa Hong Kong,  3 p.m. (6 p.m. PST).

Ang mangungunang team sa eight groups ay makapapasok sa Women’s Asian Cup na nakatakda sa January 20 hanggang February 6.

Umabot sa 22  players ang tinawagan para maglaro sa qualifiers kasama si goalkeeper Inna Palacios na magsisilbi ring team captain at defender Hali Long bilang co-captain matapos ang ginawang training camp sa Irvine, California mula August 4 hanggang September 11.

Kasama rin sa Marlon Maro-coached squad sina midfielders Tahnai Annis at Jessica Miclat, at defender Ryley Bugay matapos makasama sila sa team noong 2018 edition sa Jordan.

Mga bagong miyembro naman ng team sina forward Arianna LePage at goalkeeper Isabelle Mapanao na mga dating miyembro ng youth team.

Kukumpleto sa  squad na suportado ng Philippine Sports Commission at MVP Sports Foundation sina goalkeeper Olivia Davies McDaniel, defenders Sofia Harrison, Chelo Hodges, Tara Shelton, at Patricia Tomanon, midfielders Sara Castaneda, Anicka Castaneda, Malea Cesar, Charisa Lemoran, Rocelle Mendano, Camille Rodriguez, Alyssa Ube at Camille Wilson, at forwards Alisha Del Campo at Chandler McDaniel.

Hinirang namang assistant coaches sina Michael Agbayani, Jose Maria Aberasturi, Marlon Pinero, Anthony Albao, at Rose Ton Barinan.JC
