MANILA, Philippines – Pasado na sa ikalawang pagbasa sa House of Representatives ang anukalang mandatory benefits para sa public, private at barangay health workers habang nasa ilalim ang bansa ng public health emergencies gaya ng COVID-19 pandemic.

Sa ilalim ng House Bill 10701 ang lahat ng health workers ay makakatanggap ng special risk allowance (SRA) kada buwan para sa kabilang serbisyo habang nasa public health emergency.

“The amount shall be based on the risk exposure categorization as follows: those deployed in “low risk areas” shall receive at least PHP3,000; those deployed in “medium risk areas” shall be given at least PHP6,000; those deployed in “high risk areas” shall be given at least PHP9,000″ nakasaad sa panukala.

Bukod sa allowance ay may dagdag din na kumpensasyon sa mga health workers na tatamaan ng sakit habang nasa kanilang line of duty habang nasa state of public health emergency.

“In case of death, PHP1 million shall be provided to the heirs of the covered individuals.In case of sickness, PHP100,000 shall be provided to the covered individuals for a severe or critical case, while PHP15,000 shall be provided for a mild or moderate case” ayon pa sa panukala.

Makakatanggap din ng buong Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) coverage ang mga health workers na maaadmit sa ospital dahil sa Covid-19 infection o iba pang sakit na habang nasa public health emergency declaration.
